Forest Museum
A vivid and impressive depiction of the sparse life of former times can be seen in the "Jagerhäusl" - today a museum. The old crafts around forest and wood with their tools and products come to life. Instead of "broken, throw away, buy new" the motto used to be: "Repair for as long as possible." A central part of the museum is the unique wooden library of Candid Huber of Ebersberg that found a new home in the museum. An enormous pine needle gives the visitor a detailed view of its inner workings.
The experience trail around the Ebersberg lookout tower (about an hour) offers a lot for families: Eager discoverers can go on an expedition of the special kind together with "Ebermax" in his red rubber boots who shows the way at crossroads. 10 stations explain the woods and all the life in it to all our senses. Whether it is a family wood xylophone, a bare foot trail or a bark hut that used to be a shelter for forestry worker: The trail invites you to spend some time in the forest. "Go on, time remain...". Give room to your imagination and forget the hectic pace of our times; that happens almost by itself. THE attraction for children: the clay workshop! A must for parents, no doubt about it. Remember to bring a change of clothes for the children!
Munich
Munich is always worth a visit. Whether on business or just for fun, Munich can be reached fast and easily by suburban train (S-Bahn).
If you want to visit the Oktoberfest, remember to make reservations well in advance!
Chiemgau
